UHMWPE Heavy-Duty Ground Protection Mat
When standard HDPE isn't enough. UHMWPE (Ultra-High Molecular Weight Polyethylene) has molecular chains 90× longer than HDPE — 3–9 million AMU vs 100,000–500,000. The result: a mat that won't crack under tracked equipment pivoting, won't abrade on sharp gravel, and stays ductile at -80°C. It costs 40–60% more than HDPE. For the projects that demand it, it's the cheapest insurance you'll buy.

HDPE vs UHMWPE — When to Pay the Premium
Use HDPE When
Rubber-tired vehicles doing straight travel. Firm to moderate ground. Budget-sensitive projects. General construction site access. Events, landscaping, temporary parking.
Upgrade to UHMWPE When
Tracked equipment that pivots, turns, or skid-steers. Abrasive sand, gravel, or rocky ground. Repeated impact loads (dropping tracks, pile driving nearby). Arctic conditions below -50°C. Chemical plant or refinery environments. Where mat failure creates a safety risk.
